Orrigo’s AI Product & How It Works

What is Orrigo?

Orrigo is an AI-native marketing and client-service harness built exclusively for investment managers. It automates the creation of high-quality, on-brand, compliance-approved responses for RFPs, DDQs, client communications and presentations, and more.

What kinds of questionnaires and documents does Orrigo handle?

RFPs, RFIs, DDQs, ESG questionnaires, security questionnaires, Form ADV updates, 15Cs, fact sheets, and other custom institutional requests, in PDF, Word, Powerpoint and Excel formats.

How is Orrigo different from a general-purpose AI tool or a generic RFP platform?

General-purpose AI tools typically need heavy review and rewriting. Generic RFP software, meanwhile, is usually built horizontally across industries and treats you as a full-time content manager. Orrigo is purpose-built for investment management: it's trained on your firm's approved content (not the open internet), understands your industry terminology and asset classes, and scores every answer for alignment with your compliance-approved language before a human ever sees it.

What is the “Vault”?

The Vault is your firm's private, compliance-approved, grounded content library — the single source of truth Orrigo draws from to answer questions. It stores your approved Q&A pairs, source documents, and a historical record of quarterly data, and includes AI Agents to keep that content current: automated onboarding of new material, duplicate detection, and flags for content that's gone stale or conflicts with something more recent.

What is the Orrigo Trust Score?

Trust Score is Orrigo's patented method for scoring how closely a generated answer aligns with your firm's compliance-approved Vault content, so reviewers can immediately see which answers are safe to accept as-is and which need a closer look — rather than re-reading every single response line by line.

Do I still need to review Orrigo's answers before they go out?

Yes — Orrigo is built to accelerate drafting, not remove compliance oversight. The Trust Score is there specifically to help your reviewers focus their time on the exceptions rather than every answer, but final review and sign-off stays with your team.

What are Orrigo's “agents,” and what does each one do?

Orrigo's functionality is organized into a set of specialized agents that share one governed content source (the Vault): RFP Agent turns an incoming RFP, RFI, or DDQ into a scored first draft, pulling from your approved answers. Drafts Agent writes qualitative narrative content such as client portfolio commentary, cover letters, and market recaps in your firm's tone of voice, with controls for length and audience. Data Agent automatically maps and updates quantitative/data-heavy fields in recurring DDQs and fact sheets using your quarterly performance and portfolio data, eliminating manual copy-paste between systems. Improve Agent reviews existing content for staleness, conflicts, or drift from current disclosures, and suggests targeted edits with a rationale. Vault Agents handle the behind-the-scenes work of onboarding, deduplicating, propagating global changes, and organizing your approved content library. Custom Agents are defined, developed, tested and maintained with Claude, Claude Skills, and Gemini; the Orrigo AI harness provides the governance and data security your firm requires.

Where does the data for the Data Agent come from?

The Data Agent connects to your firm's portfolio accounting and reporting systems, attribution data, and quarterly data feeds from the consultant databases and distribution platforms you already use, so quantitative fields update automatically instead of being re-typed each quarter.

Does Orrigo replace our other RFP/DDQ software?

For most firms, yes — Orrigo is designed to consolidate the drafting, data-update, and content-library functions that firms previously spread across a horizontal RFP tool, multiple online DDQ portals, and manual data entry into one governed workflow. Orrigo can also work in concert with an existing tool that’s missing key Data Agent and DDQ capabilities.

AI Models, Accuracy & Data Use

What AI models does Orrigo use?

Orrigo uses enterprise-grade large language models from leading providers — including Anthropic (Claude), Google (Gemini) and Open AI (ChatGPT) — combined with models and workflows tuned specifically for financial services and investment management use cases, rather than relying on a single general-purpose model.

Will our content be used to train your AI models?

No. Your firm's content and data are used exclusively to serve your firm's own workflows. Orrigo's data processing developer agreements with its model and infrastructure providers contractually prohibit using customer data to train external AI models.

How accurate is Orrigo, and how do you measure it?

Every answer Orrigo generates is scored with a Trust Score reflecting how closely it aligns with your firm's approved content, which is designed to catch potential hallucinations or drift before an answer reaches a client or consultant — rather than asking reviewers to catch every error unaided.

How much of a questionnaire can Orrigo complete automatically?

On firms with a well-populated Vault, Orrigo can bring a large share of a questionnaire to a near-complete, 75%+ draft before a human begins editing — meaningfully cutting the hands-on time needed per response.

Can we control which AI models process our firm's data, or use our own model access?

Firms that want additional control can arrange to “Bring Your Own Model” API rather than relying solely on Orrigo's managed model connections. We also build custom agents and skills in your firm’s environment.

Does Orrigo process personally identifiable information (PII)?

No. Orrigo's workflows are designed so that PII is not required or accepted as part of normal use, which reduces data-privacy exposure for both your firm and your clients' information.

Security, Privacy & Compliance

How does Orrigo secure our data?

Orrigo uses enterprise-grade security practices including encryption in transit and at rest, strict logical isolation between clients' content/tenant, and role-based access controls — so your firm's Vault content is never visible to or usable by other Orrigo clients.

Is Orrigo SOC 2 compliant?

Orrigo maintains an active SOC 2 compliance program via Vanta; you can view our current, real-time compliance status, controls, and supporting documentation at our Trust Center. Simply request access and we’ll add your email to our Trust Center access.

Do you sign a Data Processing Agreement (DPA)?

Yes. Orrigo's agreements with clients and with its own sub-processors include DPA terms that prohibit the sale of customer data and prohibit using it to train external AI models.

Who can see our firm's content inside Orrigo?

Access is governed by configurable, role-based permissions that your firm controls — so you can determine which users can onboard, view, edit, or approve Vault content and generated answers.

Do you back up our content?

Yes. Content is backed up on a daily, automated basis using secure, encrypted backups distributed across multiple geographic locations, to protect against data loss.

What happens to our data if we stop using Orrigo?

Your firm owns its content and data. If you offboard, Orrigo will work with you on both export and deletion of your Vault content in line with our Terms of Service.

Where is our data hosted, and does it stay within a specific region?

Orrigo runs on public enterprise cloud infrastructure with encryption and redundancy built in.

Integrations & Workflow

Where does Orrigo fit into our team's day-to-day tools?

Orrigo works natively inside Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, plus a Chrome/Edge browser extension for web-based questionnaire portals — so your team drafts and edits inside the tools they already use, instead of switching to a separate platform and copy-pasting results back and forth.

Does Orrigo integrate with SharePoint?

Yes, Orrigo offers a SharePoint connector to help pull in and organize source content for your Vault.

Does Orrigo integrate with Claude, Claude Plug-ins, and Claude Skills?

Yes, via the Orrigo MCP Connector combined with integration to the Claude plug-ins. In addition, we work with clients to expand and enhance their Claude Skills as needed.

What data sources can feed the Data Agent?

The Data Agent is built to connect with portfolio accounting and reporting systems, attribution data providers, and consultant database platforms your firm already reports into.

Can Orrigo work alongside the online DDQ portals we already use?

Yes — Orrigo is designed to sit upstream of those portals as your drafting and compliance-approved content-management layer, so your team prepares a stronger, more current answer once and then submits it wherever it needs to go, rather than re-answering the same question separately in each portal.

Onboarding, Pricing & Support

How long does it take to get up and running?

Most clients are up and running within 2-4 days for standard onboarding and within a few weeks to go live. Larger firms with custom data integrations (e.g., connecting proprietary portfolio systems or consultant database feeds) may expect several weeks to three months for phased rollout.

What does onboarding involve?

Onboarding centers on building out your Vault: bringing in your existing approved content and DDQ templates, setting up user roles, and reviewing workflows, and configuring the integrations your firm needs. Orrigo provides fully-automated, AI-native content-onboarding tools plus hands-on support to get your Vault to a compliant and productive starting point quickly.

How is Orrigo priced?

Orrigo is offered on an annual subscription combined with additional usage tiers based on firm size (AUM) and usage (document volumes, DDQ templates), with all tiers including Vault access, core AI agents (RFP, Data, Drafts, Improve, Vault Updates), and the Word/Excel/browser plug-ins. Custom development of Claude Skills to work in concert with Orrigo AI’s compliance-first Vault is contracted as a monthly retainer.

Is there an implementation or setup fee?

Depending on the volume and complexity of narrative content, quarterly data, and the integrations required, a one-time consulting fee may apply.

Is there a trial or proof-of-value period?

Yes, for one month on average.

What kind of support and training do we get?

We work closely with our clients for onboarding support to help build out your Vault, along with ongoing training and office hours to help your team get the most out of Orrigo's agents as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Do you offer training for our compliance and reviewer teams specifically, not just marketing?

Yes — since Orrigo's review workflow is meant to include compliance sign-off. Training typically covers reviewers and approvers as well as the marketing/RFP staff drafting responses. Our Getting Started Guides are also a great place to start and for on-going training.

Who owns the content we put into Orrigo?

Your firm owns its content. Orrigo's role is to securely store, organize, and help you generate from that content. We never share your content or data with any other party.
